How to become a HEXIS certified installer?

Hexis Certification Programme.

All tests and exams will be documented and archived. All participants need to bring and use their own tools/equipment. (To have your own professional toolkit is essential to become certified)



Preparation, required knowledge

  • Knowledge of the HEXIS data sheets
  • Knowledge of HEXIS application guides (including: material composition, temperature, storage, application, cleaning methods, adhesive differences)
  • Product knowledge (e.g. SUPTAC, V, HX, SKINTAC, ECOTAC, CARPRO)
  • Processing methods

The HEXIS Certification Levels

HEXIS has three levels of certification: SILVER, GOLD and PLATINUM.

HEXIS SILVER Certification

Is made for professional installers who would like to be certified for all types of flat and simple curved installations like: signs, windows, walls, trucks, trains and special films like anti-graffiti or anti-corrosion.

HEXIS GOLD Certification

Includes all the SILVER Certification tests, with additional 3D application tests on convex / concave parts of vehicles as well as complex applications on a representative selection of substrates.

HEXIS PLATINUM Certification

Includes all levels and kinds of applications, as well as outstanding pedagogic skills. HEXIS is passionate about their products. PLATINUM Certified installers are therefore required to hold up and drive forward this passion. Moreover, a PLATINUM Certified installer has to stand for the brand’s reputation for excellence.

HEXIS SILVER Certification

Maximum participants per day: 4

+ 9.00: Written exam (multiple choice) -> 1h
+ 10.30: Practical test Part 1 -> approx. 2h
+ 12.30: Lunch break -> 1h
+ 13.30: Practical test Part 2
+ 17.00: Evaluation
+ One to one meeting

Practical Test

  • Cleaning / preparation / evaluation of the substrate
  • Edge cutting techniques (cutter, tapes, contour cuts)
  • Application methods (wet/dry application, hinge method, different substrates, different adhesions)
  • Match precise dimensions
  • Multipart application of digital printing (2D)
  • Preparation and application of multicoloured logos lettering (plotted)

HEXIS GOLD Certification

A passed SILVER Certification is mandatory to apply for GOLD Certification.

+ 13.30: Practical test Part 2
+ 17.00: Evaluation
+ One to one meeting
